The bottom line is this, the members of the Westboro Baptist Church are not Christians. These individuals are disturbed and unhappy with their own lives. They wrap their hatred and political agenda in the name of Christianity. Christians are humble and serve those less fortunate. The Westboro Baptist Church masquerades as a Christian group and are the antithesis of Jesus Christ. Individuals shouldn’t be fooled by people who memorize the Bible and spout verse after verse to explain the world we live. The Bible is God’s pursuit of man and the teachings within the Bible are missed by the unfortunate individuals who make up the Westboro Baptist Church.

In the end, each person is blessed to be a blessing and the Westboro Baptist Church fails to understand this simple foundation of Christianity.

That’s why we eliminated tens of billions of dollars in wasteful taxpayer subsidies to big banks that provide student loans. We’re using those savings to put a college education within reach for working families.

That’s why we passed health insurance reform that will make coverage affordable; reform that ends the indignity of insurance companies jacking up your premiums at will or denying you coverage just because you get sick; reform that shifts control from them to you.

Don’t forget, changes to the student loan program were part of health care reform. So the question is, do you believe those “savings” will go toward more student loans or paying for the federal government’s takeover of the healthcare industry?

To big to fail? How about to big to be effective, in other other words, the federal government. Over the last 18 months, the Obama administration has inserted the federal government into both the personal lives of individuals and the mechanisms that balance our free market system. Your personal perspective decides if this is good or bad.

Sure, healthcare legislation was passed, but the intrusive bill is far from being implemented. As time passes and more details are learned, understood and questioned by the American people, legislation will be enacted to repeal this government power grab.

However, the next disturbing growth in government will not be a result of immigration or social issues, but in regulating greenhouse gases. The Washington Post article by David A. Fahrenthold and Juliet Eilperin, EPA left to pick up climate change where Congress dropped the debate, outlines the current strategy of the Obama administration. If successful, the EPA’s process to regulate greenhouse gases will be more subjective than that of the federal government’s healthcare reform since the legislative branch would not have been involved in voting on laws to regulate such greenhouse gases.

So the real question to those who enjoy some level of personal liberty, where will the federal government take over end?

The following anecdote was pointed out to me by a friend.

As the late Adrian Rogers said, "You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class.

That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism." All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

As the science of global warming melts because of the man made manipulation of data, Al Gore’s opinion piece in the New York Times, We Can’t Wish Away Climate Change , confirms the desperation in the global warming movement.

What is inferred from Mr. Gore’s opinion piece is please, please, please, trust me. Our science has mistakes, but they are minor, the premise is solid. World catastrophe looms. We were so close if this only happened. This is my last chance to convince you, the public.

To put it simply, Al Gore is an elitist. Al Gore believes the counter arguments to global warming are irrelevant, so they should be dismissed. To Mr. Gore, the science is undeniable, the consensus on global warming remains unchanged.

The reality is a counter point exists. People have educated themselves about the global warming debate. Major flaws have been discovered in the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report in 2007.

After reading the desperation penned by Al Gore, take time to read a counter position by Christopher Booker, A perfect storm is brewing for the IPCC.

Now that the Senate has secured 60 votes to pass their version of healthcare, the real trouble for Democrats will begin in conference. The unchecked pompous leadership of Pelosi will not be able to concede the differences between the House and Senate bills. The House will kill healthcare because the demands made by their delegation will rip apart the Scotch Tape agreements but forth by Senate Democrats.

However, what should be most troubling about healthcare reform is not what currently exists in either bill but the process we all just watched. Healthcare reform is so complicated that Senators had to be given special deals for their states. That fact alone should be disturbing enough to prefer a different approach.

In the end, if Senate Democrats believed their healthcare proposal was in the best interest of the people, why did they vote 51 to 48 to defeat an amendment that would have allowed less expensive U.S. approved medications to be imported from Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan?

What did the climate change conference in Copenhagen teach us? One clear message is that the motivation behind the global warming movement is to establish a world governing body.

Since all countries on the planet share the climate, this issue is being used to establish a governing body that can implement binding policy and tax countries in order to redistribute the world’s wealth.

However, here is the problem with this concept. A global governing body will never be able to implement timely policy that truly benefits all people. Each nation has unique differences and these differences cannot be resolved all at one time.

So in the end, Copenhagen produced no binding agreement and demonstrated the confusion in finding consensus among government elitists.

Harry Reid’s position that Senate Republicans who oppose health care reform are demonstrating the same mind set of lawmakers who defended slavery should not be surprising to anyone. The mantra overly sung by liberals is that you are either a racist, sexist or homophobe if you disagree with their point of view. It is a tiring argument that is embarrassing and played more often than Seinfeld reruns.

However, the real strategy behind Reid’s comments is to save his political future. Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010, will be the day Harry Reid loses his Senate seat. Nevada is tired of Reid. Democrats are going to have to spend a lot of money defending seats that are in jeopardy as a result of government spending, unemployment and an aggressive liberal agenda being pushed by the Obama administration.

The hope for Reid is that if he can push through some type of health care reform that is favored by the active liberal base, money will be directed to his campaign in an attempt to save his seat. Unfortunately for Mr. Reid, too many moderates and independents will work as hard to make sure he is not successful in his re-election bid.

So the bottom line is this, the book on this simpleton is almost closed.
